PERSIST.

“Realise deeply that the present moment is all you have. Make the NOW the primary focus of your life.” ~ Eckhart Tolle

P - Pattern match - Does the content of the PIP you’re focusing on match your inner values? Whilst the brain is a pattern-matching organ, there is a deeper ‘pattern’ which potentially finds its ‘match’ in choices of kindness, of love . So inside and outside it’s a love thing ... our deepest language, our soul’s sense of home.

E - Each troublesome energy form is an opportunity to practice - which is wonderful because this is a new way of living! With persistence, new patterns will only take a few weeks to form and become the new ‘normal’. The old ones got there through repetition and they’ll go in exactly the same way!

R - Remove your attention from what doesn’t serve you - remember, it’s just energy! Repeat your choice of tool - over and over. Remember to ask for help - often! It opens the door of your heart, to hear more clearly. And remember too to be thankful ...

S - Success is guaranteed if you keep practicing!

I - If you divert your attention away from eg tragic world issues already, then you already can absolutely do this! It’s just a more CONSCIOUS process of choosing in there. Most of us care greatly about the sad things of the world. We do our best to help, if we can ... we might pray ... and we let it go. If we didn’t, we’d become endlessly depressed and that wouldn’t help anyone. So this is just redefining something we already do!

S - Say ‘sorry’ if something that belongs in the past is hanging around through a sense of remorse or guilt. Sorry is a word which builds bridges ... and forgiveness is an act of the heart which sets us free ... forgiving each other, forgiving ourselves.

T - Talk to yourself in a kind, encouraging way. Be your own best friend.

Tale of Two Wolves

An old Cherokee told his grandson, “My son, there is a battle between two wolves inside us all.

One is Evil. It is anger, jealousy, greed, resentment, inferiority, lies and ego.

The other is Good. It is joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility, kindness, empathy and truth”

The boy thought about it and asked, “Grandfather, which wolf wins?”

The old man quietly replied, “The one you feed.”
